Biography
I've been a musician my entire life. Classically trained as a percussionist and rhythmic arrangments, I was writing up drumline features @ 14. I eventually trained my ear to replication(or playing by ear) as it turned out to be a formidable tool in less structured evironments. I was raised on funk jazz, RnB, early Hip Hop and some classical. That launched me in the direction of wanting to learn to do the things all of my favorite musicians did. From there, I engaged in the percussive arts and never looked back. Tho my dad is still in awe at the waste of athletic ability lol, he now sees the vision and dedication I have towards my music as opposed to memorizing a playbook. This has always been my most instense passion and I was naive enough to think others in the feild felt the same way. I've done my share of collabos and "clicking up" w/ others that claimed to have a vision and a passion for this game. But much like anything else, it's never what it seemed. Those roadblocks of never getting anything established or maintaining a focus kept me away for over 4 years. While I still made tracks and kept my ear to the street, I was pretty much a spectator at that point. It didn't seem worth the grind. But as with anything else that is meant to be, that phase passed and I was realigned w/ the love that I had denied for so long of making quality music. Now Im the sleeping giant awakened from the slumber, seeking to establish my footprint on the land. I have what most would call everything.......job, family, son, my health and my freedom. Although my humble frame of mind doenst neccesarily need much more to feel complete, I feel I have a duty to myself to see this through. I have a duty to all of those music lovers that love that feeling you get when you hear a sample you've never heard before........that feeling you get when "the perfect beat" drops.....that idea that trancends the status quo and builds into a movement. I want it all.
